We were supposed to fly to Idaho for the Tri-State Tournament in Coeur d’alene. It’s one of the toughest tournaments in the Northwest. Our first tournament of the season was the Mariner tournament on Saturday (12/5). Our team did really well, with 2nd place overall. We had five guys in the championship finals and all but one won.
I won the heavyweight division, pinning all 3 of my opponents including the finals match against Lake Stevens.

We had five guys in the finals with four champions including myself!
My last and final wrestling season starts tomorrow.
I’m bigger, faster, & stronger and look forward to getting going. All the football recruiting has been busy and I’m excited to get working out!
The USA Wrestling, Washington State Freestyle State Championships were on Saturday, May 16th at Auburn-Mountain View High School. Our team placed 13 of 14 participants and finished in the top 10 overall.

The Tournament was at East Valley High School in Spokane. I flew over with the coaches and won the Championship!
Our team did really well, placing 4th out of 55 teams.
The WIAA State High School Wrestling Championships, in the Tacoma Dome, was fun this year. After knee surgery and after a month of intensive rehabilitation, improved diet, and lots of extra cardio (thank you Gold’s Cycling/Spinning classes), I was lucky to be there let alone earn a 7th place finish!
